我们不能靠自己的努力，来成就神所给我们的工作。神所委派的工作，只有神自己能。我们如果安安静静地信托祂去做，我们就要看见：事情做得又好、又完全。那么，我们用甚么方法让祂藉我们来做呢没有别的，只要完全用信心享用基督，深信祂已经充满了我们的生命。
有一次，一位已经学到这个秘诀的弟兄说：「我已经在耶稣里喝了祂所赐的活水，所以我永远不会再渴了。我的格言是：不要过劳，乃要过溢。这个格言已经叫我的生活和从前完全不同了。」
过溢是不需要费力的，是闲逸的，是无可抵抗的。这种全能的，无穷的成功，原是基督今天及永远所给我们享受的寻常生活。－－译自主日学报

信心的呼喊不是踌躇的呻吟，也不是失望的哀泣。在许多「耶和华的奥秘」中，我不知道有甚么比信心的呼喊更为宝贵。耶和华晓谕乔舒亚说：「看哪，我已经把耶利哥，和耶利哥的王，并大能的勇士，都交在你手中。」书六2祂不是说：「我将要把.」，祂乃是说：「我已经把.」。耶利哥城已经属于以色列人了；现在只叫他们去占领好了。但是问题是：如何占领呢在人看来，这是不可能的事；于是神又详细说明了祂的计划。
没有一个人想到呼喊会使城墙倒塌。可是他们得胜的秘诀，却正在呼喊之中，因为这是一个信心的呼喊━一个敢在毫无胜利征兆的时候，单独凭神的话，向神索取所应许的胜利的信心于是神照他们的信心给他们成全；当他们呼喊的时候，城墙果然倒塌了。
神说祂已经把耶利哥城交在他们手中了，信心就这样相信。数世纪后，圣灵还将这次信心的胜利记载在希伯来书上面：「因着信，围绕耶利哥城七日，城墙就倒塌了。」来十一30－－司密斯

关于等候神的眞理，我们已经听得很多了
有些人说━也有许多人相信━我们一履行了所有的条件，神就要立即答应我们的祷告。他们说：神永远是现在的神；在神没有过去，也没有将来；如果我们能够顺服祂的旨意，实行祂的命令，立刻我们的需要可以得到供给，我们的**可以得到满足，我们的祷告可以得到答应。
这种信仰也有许多眞理，但是可惜只表达了眞理的一面。神永远是现在的神，这句话一点都不错；但是神行事是有祂的「时候」的。一个呈在神前的请求，好像一粒在地里的种子。上面的力，必须多方栽培，答应纔会得到眞实的实现。－－译自微小的声音
